Live Tail without signing in
I have a demo iPad app (Swift) that is used as an example to show other developers on my team how to do logging in their apps. It lets them choose which environment (ie - collector and source) to log to and then they can click a button to fire off some messages to Sumo Logic. There has been some confusion about logs not showing up, probably because they don't understand what the correct query should look like. I'd like to launch the browser, when they click the button, and take them to a Live Tail with the correct query already filled in so they can see their messages. There doesn't seem to be a way to do this without signing in, which is a pain because we use simplified sign-on and this is usually happening in a device simulator. I know dashboards can be made public so they don't require sign-in. Would it be possible to do something similar for Live Tails, or integrate a Live Tail into a public dashboard?

Hi Bryce,
Sounds like a cool app! We don't have a way to put live tail on dashboards yet, but you can vote on this feature request so we can keep track of it: https://ideas.sumologic.com/ideas/SL-I-2046
Another alternative to logging into your browser is to access live tail using the Command Line Interface: https://help.sumologic.com/Search/Live_Tail/Live_Tail_CLI
The first time you do this, you will need to enter your Access ID and Access Key.
Hope that helps, and please let us know if you have any more thoughts.
Regards,
Brian
