Create a Partition: The entered name is already used in your account, please enter a different name
Hi there, when trying to (re)create a partition named app_errors, the following error is shown:
The entered name is already used in your account, please enter a different name
Look like something is holding onto the name, is it possible to make it let go of it?
Cheers!

Hi Anton,
Unfortunately once a partition name is used you cannot re-use the name. The partition can’t be edited or deleted, just decommissioned so it already exists in our database.
This is due to the fact that we index data with a Write Once Read Many (WORM) architecture and the partition may include log messages that are not stored anywhere else, if the Partition is deleted, the log messages will be lost.
You will have to use a new name for the new partition schema you want. Please go through below documentation link that talks about the same:
You have to create a new partition with new name.
Here are best practices for creating partitions:

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will be happy to answer the same.
Thanks
Rahul
