Customize email content on Metric Monitor alert

We have a few Metric Monitors that alert on AWS CloudWatch metrics for Application Load Balancers. We use AWS tags as metadata to help us identify the system that the metric is coming from.  We would like to format the content of the email as well as add the status of either Critical or Warning.  Is it possible to customize the email that is sent when a metric monitor crosses its threshold?
