How do I properly update a dashboard query?
I created a set of queries in my personal library and published this to our ORG section of the library. I then used these to create a dashboard. Recently, I needed to update all the queries in my library. It looks like the changes got propagated to ORG correctly (other team members see my changes in ORG) but the dashboard did not pick them up.
Am I incorrect to expect the dashboard to change dynamically with my changes? What is the best way to update my dashboard queries?

Dashboard queries are not tied to any saved searches. These are separate, so what you need to do is:
1.) Launch the dashboard
2.) Click on a monitor to open the monitor query in the search
3.) Edit the monitor query
4.) Select the option in the new query result to "Save Back to Monitor." This option is in the toolbar and looks like the following
You need to be aware that updates to monitor queries will refresh the monitor window and the monitor will have to reload. For this reason, I would suggest copying the dashboard first and then make the monitor query changes in the new dashboard. Once the new dashboard monitors are fully loaded you can delete the old dashboard. This way you can still reference the data that was previously added to the original dashboard.
