I recently had Sumo Logic installed on a Windows server for me. Local configuration file management is enabled for the collector, so I cannot edit it through the web page. When the collector was set up, the syncSources value was set to c:\\sumo\\json in the sumo.conf file.
The initial install had two json config files in the json folder: iis.json and winlogs.json. The collector is using both files.
I added a file called test.json into the same directory as the other two files as well as a dummy log file into the directory denoted by pathExpression. After a few minutes, I noticed that the log file was not getting grabbed by the collector, so I asked someone to restart the sumo-collector service. Still nothing.
Any ideas on what is happening?
Here is the text from test.json:
From what I can tell, everything is order. The path for the dummy log file is C:\Test\test.log.
