Unable to receive log data from aws cloud watch

I have configured AWS RDS Metric , IAM Role under cloud formation and wish to visualise data / messages in AWS Default Library Dashboards like CPU Utilisation. But when Dashboard is opened , I am getting below message & with no data 

 

Aggregate by non-existent keys. Keys: Region, DBInstanceIdentifier do not exist in any time series.

 

None of the metrics searches returned results.

  Pankaj, have you tried removing the AWS tag filters you are using?

  I'm having the same issue with:
  _contentType=AwsCloudWatch Namespace=AWS/RDS _sourceCategory = prod/rds/ metric=CPUCreditBalance Region=* DBInstanceIdentifier=* DatabaseClass=* EngineName=* Statistic=Average | avg by Region, DBInstanceIdentifier

  Aggregate by non-existent keys. Keys: Region, DBInstanceIdentifier do not exist in any time series.

  and this is a query from an app that is available in the App section, I do not want to remove the AWS tag filters because then I will be bringing averything in from all RDS's so is there another workaround this?
