How to delete old logs from sumo
Otherwise, the deletion will cover ALL data delivered into the account within a specified time range. Any request for data deletion should be sent to Sumo Logic Support through your account administrator.

Only if the logs from that microservice were specifically sent to its own Partition. Deletion can only be applied to a given time range and index (ie Partition/View) and deletion will delete all messages in the given partition and time range.
You can request a backend filter be applied, which can prevent this data from appearing in searches. You will need to file a support request with Sumo Logic and include the query scope that matches the data and the time range where this data should be hidden and they can help get that applied for you.
