collector configuration

When  collector has issue with log collection will it holds actual data ? or collector will loose the data. 

Please clarify.

  Hello Radhika!

  Installed collectors do buffer data in outbound queue and have a mechanism to retry transmission in case of transient network issues. Hosted collectors, on the other hand, do NOT buffer any data, so any network issues during data transmission will result in data loss, unless buffering logic is implemented on the source system side.

  With that said, please note, there are plenty of parameters you can use to fine tune collector behaviour. All of them are documented here:
