Querying Metrics by Meta Tags

Looking to test some metrics in Carbon 2.0 format- Is is possible to query by meta tags as well as intrinsic tags? Right now it looks an attempt to query metrics with some intrinsic tags and a given meta tag just matches on intrinsic tags regardless of the meta tag specified in the query.
