Installing Collector Fails

Hi,  I am getting an error saying that it is taking longer than expected to register your collector with Sumo Logic.  Please check your settings and try again.

The server in question was on Server 2008 R2 and had the collector installed already.  I had to do an in-place upgrade to Server 2012 R2 which was successful but the Sumo service would not start.  I tried uninstalling the service but it kept failing saying that it needed JRE.  I installed the JRE but still could not uninstall from control panel.  I finally was able to uninstall using REVO uninstall.

I am no re-installing the collector but getting that error when trying to register with SUMO.  I am using a token for what it's worth.

  Hope you have created an installation token as per steps documented here: https://help.sumologic.com/Manage/Security/Installation_Tokens 

  If it is taking longer than expected to register your collector with Sumo Logic, please run the connectivity tests as explained here to see there are no connectivity issues:

  https://help.sumologic.com/03Send-Data/Installed-Collectors/05Reference-Information-for-Collector-Installation/01Test-Connectivity-for-Sumo-Logic-Collectors 

  If this does not help, please file a Support Case so that Support can get the logs files to troubleshoot the issue.
