Email alerts from Monitors -- plaintext vs Image
I may be missing something, but if I set up an email notification for a Monitor, is there a way I can customize the BODY using variables and have it delivered as text?
It seems that the Body of the email notification comes to me as an IMAGE. This makes it entirely useful for intended plan to parse various content from the body of the alert.
Is this really the only option for notifications from Monitors???

Hello Larry,
I’m not sure, why you get email notifications as an image, for Monitor email notifications should come as HTML. Please double-check it and if it’s still an image, the best option would be to check it with our support.
When it comes to customising email notifications from Monitors, you can customize the email subject and body. However, an email will still be in HTML format.
To customize the email subject and body, you can use built-in variables when specifying the notification payload for log and metric monitors and scheduled searches. They allow you to reference specific configurations of your monitor. Variables table with description
Example customisation:
If you are using recovery notifications - for Email, Microsoft Teams, OpsGenie, PagerDuty, and Slack recovery notifications are hardcoded by Sumo Logic and cannot be edited. The recovery payload is not the same as the alert payload.Hope this helps!
